Bank of Cyprus UK

Rang my bank manager today, (Bank of Cyprus UK) on his mobile, unavailable, but called me back a couple of hours later. I requested a higher overdraft facility, which I am happy to say he agreed to.

It was bliss to speak to a human being, and to have NO forms to fill out, just a straight forward YES over the phone, no problem.

Such a great one-to-one service, great customer care, and personal customer service, good old customer service, hoorah to the good old days of business :-)

Could you really ask for more from a bank?

Bad Banking

Santander

Finally after months of phone calls, visits to my local branch, and not to mention the amount of time wasted, I have eventually sorted out the issue of indentity theft.

Have had to threaten Santander with counterclaims, press coverage and all sorts before they finally took me seriously, actually they were not threats, they promises.

So today, once again had to call them, because they failed to call me back, again, but have to say to say they did, or so it appears, deal with the very serious issue of someone stealing my identity.

But why has it taken so long, I have been made to look like the bad guy in all of this, and there was not even an offer of compensation for all the inconvenience caused to me, disgusting.

Hopefully that will be the end of it, but to check back now and again, just in case there is more, and perhaps you could give me your nightmare cases here also of bad banks and their unsympathetic attitudes.

Mail Shot

Decided to do a small mailshot last week, only a 100 or so. 2 days later had an enquiry for a banner, 2m x 61cm.
The client concerned wanted delivery next day, Giraffe Press obliged, produced the banner and in fact delivered hours early.
Client most satisfied, so much so that they sent an email, "it's brilliant, thank you so much for all your help".

So satisfying when you get a thanks.
